Phil, there are scant few 10 or 8 gauge guns, or any Parker for that matter, where the frame size was recorded.

Although we do have TPS numbers for 8 ga guns. That would be pretty close.

The eight gauge chart would be no help in locating the number of #5 frame guns. About 99% of eight gauge guns are #6 or #7 frame guns.

I would think 5 frames would be on the very rare side. Like Bill says, most 8 gauges are 6 and 7 frames and most 10's are 3 frames. . . . at least in my experience.

Just my observations in TL hammer guns 10 gauge, 3 frames tend to weigh up to about 10lbs with 32 inch barrels, 4 frames up to 11.5 lbs, Never seen or weighted a 5 frame, 6 frames up to about 14.5lbs. But as we all know plenty of exceptions. My guess would be 5 frames would weigh in about 12 lbs.

I have seen probably 2 or 3 5 frames here on the forums .
I think they were 10 gauges , regarding weight I have seen a wide margin on the big guns .
I have seen #3 frame 10 gauges close or at 11lbs but I have also seen #6 frames at 11lbs (8ga) .

Dont recall ever seeing or hearing of a hammerless #4 and #5 frame . I reckon if you wanted a 10-13lb hammerless gun Parker figured the #3 and #6 frame had it covered ?

So is it safe to assume you've acquired a 5 frame 10 with 36" barrels ?
