Default My First PH :)

I have always wanted a twist barreled PH Parker. I had been keeping an eye for a decent PH for awhile and almost bought this exact one a few years ago. And by “chance” I ran back into it two weeks ago. It is a hefty #2 frame 12 gauge with 30” twist barrels and weighs 8 ½ pounds. Choked full and full, I have had some fun with it already. This should make a nice waterfowler…

I posted the letter. The price seemed low to me, but then if it was going to a store, maybe they received it at wholesale. It is interesting that the serial number dates it to 1892, but it didn’t ship until 1899.

I was shooting RST 1oz and 1 1/16oz shells. I like the tight chokes and it did well on the sporting clays course. I was able to vaporize a few close targets, which always feels good

Good honest gun. I have two PH 12s and both are good shooters

While they are some out there, it seems like there is not a great selection when it comes to PH Parkers. When I was looking the PHs were at opposite ends of the spectrum. Guns that were in high condition and priced accordingly(on par with a GH). And some well worn guns and beaters that still seemed like they were priced high.

I like this gun alot and can't wait to do some duck/geese hunting with her next year.

Not any time soon(for the sake of my marriage), but i would love to get a twist PH in a 16...

And a duBray gun also which is cool. It's a real tank. What do the barrels weigh ? The wall thickness in that first picture looks really hefty.

I haven't weighed the barrels on a scale, but the un-struck weight stamped on them is "5"

I thought it might be #3 frame when I first picked it up.

The PHs have become a interest of mine recently since I put a deposit on one that found me .

I been thinking of getting a PH 16 ga in the future , ive read Parker only made 208 or so PH 16s . The prices ive seen on them varies drastically though .

I’d like to find a high condition PH 20 with Twist Steel barrels.
