Recoil Pad ??

If I were thinking about replacing this recoil pad, what would be some
good suggestions? I think this is an old Silvers brand recoil pad that’s
currently on the stock. I am 6’4” should I go with a thicker pad?
I want something that would be appropriate to this 1900 Parker GH.
Or is it just best to leave well enough alone?

Mike, as far as appearance goes, it looks okay. Is it sticky or flat in any spots? Is it hardening up? If it is still serviceable, I would be tempted to leave it as is. I certainly am not the 'voice of experience', but I did have a pre-war Winchester with a gooey pad. I bought a repro and had Larry Schuknecht install it. Galazan has a bunch of period reproduction pads. This is their '1922 Patent Winchester' pad. Good luck. Cheers!

The longer your LOP the more DAH. What is the drop on that gun as it is now?

If your pad is un serviceable, I would suggest a real SILVERS pad not a replica.
Silvers pads are not soft, really rather hard, but that makes the gun look correct.

I don't think that's a Silvers pad on the gun. It looks more like a NoShock or Winchester 1922 with the little screw hole plugs. I agree that a Silvers would be a good choice for replacement, if you deemed it necessary. I believe they are a little thicker than your pad appears.

Any idea as to where would I find a real SILVERS pad?

I'm pretty sure Galazan has real Silvers pads. If not check with Brad Bachelder.

This is what the recoil pad looked like when I bought the Parker.
I spent a couple of hours cleaning and carefully trimming off the
hard, cracked and crusty edges around the spacer. I was surprised
actually how well it cleaned up. But I do know it’s not as thick or
in the shape that it originally was. I removed a good amount of material.
Did these Parkers come from the factory with these rubber recoil pads?

Silver's pads are still being made. You can purchase them via e-mail direct from Kynoch in England for about $50 each--about $25/pad less than those selling them stateside.
