Default Choke gauge - professional model

Hi,

I am interested in buying a top quality choke gauge for my Dad. We have the tapered type that is a simple stick in the end of the barrel. But I would like a much higher quality. I see one listed on Galazan - is this good - or are there others that members prefer?

Need to measure 12, 16, 20, 28.

Thanks

I bought the dial styles from Galazan's quite a while back. They had one for the 12/16 bores but you had to get a separate one for the 20/28. I think it is a perfectly good gauge for the money.

These are about 18 inches long, is this what you're asking about?

"Quality" is subjective - but they are certainly "good enough" for most of us.

I can't find a dial micrometer on Tony's website.

Hosford’s bore gauge works great.

Google "the unloader", he makes both analog and digital bore mics.

The dial gauge Tony sells is a Chinese copy of a Chubbs gauge, but not the quality of the Chubbs. As Dean says, it’s good enough.
