Hi Unregistered,
On July 29th, this site will be moving..! No, really - it's "moving" to another physical location - including servers, gateways, routers - everything - including my coffee cup...
So, from the date of July 29th through July 30 or 31 (shooting for these dates, but - as always, I'm at the mercy of my ISP who has to install the lines to the new location - and we actually get them running ;) ). But - this site, cloud servers and main web will be OFF LINE.
Now, please save these dates!! Please - don't be "that guy" who emails me on the 30th to tell me you "can't open the Parker Website". I'll already know it is offline - and also know that you are "that guy"...
I'll take this notice up and down over the next week or so - and leave it up during the final few days before shutting it off on the 29th..
John D.

Revived an old favorite.
Along with the black powder loads used on Sunday, I tried 8 smoke less loads using Hodgdon's Clay's powder. Past spring I was finally able to lay in a 8# keg of this powder and used it for the first time last week. I wanted to load Federal 2.75 " paper hulls with Remington primers, 18.5 gains of Clay's, Remington TGT 12 (I use the Claybuster clone), and 1 ounce of #7.5 shot. 1180 fps @ 6000 psi. Closed with a 6 point crimp. I had to drop 2 bushing sizes using MEC bushings. The old lot used a #32 bushing for 18.7 grains of powder. New lot went 19.1 grains with the #31 bushing and 17.8 grains using the #30 bushing. 17.8 average broke targets with authority and little felt recoil. Seems to be comparable performance to the old powder lot loading and just as effective. Temp. was 24 degrees and no off sounding loads. I use this load in both Damascus and steel barrels and it is easy on the guns. I'm loading a good sized batch now for use this season.
