Default Pathe News Reel Film....

These old Pathe news reel films from England are wonderful. I was just watching this one again and thought I'd share.

Great stuff!! I was always planning a trip to Purdey to be measured for a 20 or 28. It was only my past financial situation and for that matter my present, that prevented me from such a journey.

I went into the Purdey shop once and found that it was over my budget

I've heard two different stories about going into the "long Room" at Purdey's - One that they were accommodating, and the other that they couldn't have been bothered. I found H&H to be great

While vacationing in Lomdon 25 years ago, we walked into the lobby of Purdey's. They were actually very cordial and showed us some guns. Then I asked for a price sheet. Then reality hit us. After calculating the conversion from pounds to dollars, my friend said he could buy a 100 acre farm back home for the cost of an entry level shotgun. I kick myself often for not hanging on to that price sheet.
