what makes a8 ga barrels so dirty after shooting blue dot powder in them. in the smaller gauges i do not have the problem. the 8 ga is a real task to clean after shooting this powder.my barrels are pitted could this be part of the problem.any one know of a cleaner that works without having to take it in the shower. took me and hour last night to clean that old parker. any suggestions anybody. charlie
Try Gunzilla www.topduckproducts.com I use this to clean my black powder guns. With BP shooting I would clean the gun then coat with wonderlub, but always would find a little rust when they were cleaned to shoot again. With Gunzilla I have never had that problem and use nothing else. It may work for you, blue dot and the mighty 8.
