Thanks Carl, we are open to about anything in that area. My mule deer hunt is in the NW corner of Nebraska so we are considering hunting SD.

I lived in the Sandhills for 5 years with the US Forest Service, yes, there is a Nebraska National Forest with a unit in the Sandhills. If you are interested in places to hunt chickens and sharptails send me a PM and I will tell you what I know. If you are deer hunting around Chadron, then you are closer to sharptail hunting than chickens, at least on the NE side. If you want to explore, I can direct you to public land where both species are available. I used to do spring grouse surveys while there. -plc- |
