Default Family Photos

My mom was going through a carton of old family photos, and sent me a few... Below is a picture of my Great-Grandmother - Anne Dana Osborn, married to George Leland Osborn (another Parker story)...

Anyway - for various reasons, I treasure this picture at many levels. To me - "Anne Dana Osborn" was simply "Nana", who could shoot in her own right with the best of them.

BTW - if she ever thought her picture was on an internet site - she'd probably be mortified... So - sorry Nana!

I might enter this into the Parker of the Month, as to me - Nana and Grandpa (my great-grandparents) are responsible for my love of Parkers, history and many memories..

John

Great picture John, what part of the country do you think the photo was taken.

Hey Bob,

I was just talking to my Mom - and we think it's about 1912-1914 at the place in NH...?

John ; That truly is a great picture and no doubt to the gun being a Parker ,so many of the old pictures ,they are so hard to make out the brand of guns .Do you still have the gun in your family ?

Hi Russ..!

No, I have no memory of that Parker in the Gun Cabinet. I think it went away before I arrived..? I do have one of Grandpa's Parkers and a number of other guns from that cabinet, though. When I got that picture from my Mom - I was thrilled, however. As well, I'm scanning in a number of other pictures as well - as they should be preserved.

My best to you!

John

Please do put this photo in for next month!
I would love to have that photo framed and on the wall in my home.

It's a great shot!

John,

May I presume to speak for all of us in the desire to have family photo's such as yours. Some may and many do not. Thanks for posting and I must say that I thought of my family Parker involvment though I have no early pictures as you.

Kindest, Harry

John, what a great photo and extra special to me because I collect pictures like that. I find it hard to find hunting pictures with woman in them.
