If you watched the auction today two things stood out when it came to American SXS's. The bidders were looking for condition first and the small gauges second. This is nothing new but very pronounced today. One example: #1575, 12 gauge VHE. 92% case color, $6600.00 plus the hammer. On the other end: #1573, DH 12 gauge two barrel set, low condition, $1750.00.

Someone wanted this one #2459 real bad. Sold for $50,000.00 plus the hammer, $57,500.00.

What did the 8 gauge Parker go for or rather did it meet the reserve and if so what did it hammer at ?

I think it was #2471 .

The Lefever C grade 8 gauge went for $7K plus the juice. It needed some work but if restored what a gun it would (or will) be!

The Parker GH at a little above $10k with the fee and onsite tax didn't seem too high a price. Put a grand into it and one will have a nice 8 gauge.
