Default Serial number look-up please

Can you help me with serial number 74315?

It is listed as a 20 gauge DHE with 28" barrels.

Thanks
Ken

Damascus DH 16 26". No ejectors in that era. If it's a DHE 20 now, it's been rebarrelled and ejectors retrofitted. This gun needs a letter.

Bill, I'm confused.... to retrofit a Parker with ejectors I wasn't aware the barrels required replacement... I thought replacing the doll's head extension and fitting ejectors to the lug and welding up the screw hole was about all that was required. This, of course, plus replacing the forend iron and recutting the forend wood to accept the new iron with ejectors.
Can you elaborate?

If this is the gun on GB. I inquired about it being a 20ga due to the serialization book listing it as a 16ga. The seller checked it & said it is a 20ga.

The book has been known to have incorrect information from time to time. Beware though that sellers can be wrong no matter. I just bought an O-frame 16ga off GB that the seller swore was a 20ga. The book had it listed as sixteen and was correct. I bid on it as if it was a 16 and am very happy with it.

Bill and Paul,

Thanks. It is the one on gunbroker. Without seeing the gun it is hard to tell.
