Default Parker Help Please

I am looking at a 12ga 30'' barrels, english stock, serial number 121036 with a V on the water table. The thing I dont get is it has no saftey it has Safe above where it should be ? There's an out line of a slot where the safety button should be , but if it was filled in it was done VERY WELL and a long time ago ? Any ideas ! Thanks Mark

Mark, your gun was not ordered without a safety. Someone removed it and installed a blank in the slot. If the factory had done it you would'nt see the slot or the word Safe. Post some pics if you can.

Guns without a safety are sometimes thought to be "live bird" guns or trap guns, but not always a sure thing. What are the chokes and stock dimensions? What year is the gun? Does it have a dolls head extension, single or double triggers?

There's an extension to the barrel rib that fits into the receiver when the gun is closed. Is that the dolls head ? Stock dimensions as given to me 141/4 LOP 2 3/4 drop at heal As for chokes R barell mod or IM mod Left barell Full for sure. THATS DIME TESTED It has double triggers and I have no idea when it was made. With out that saftey I think it needs to go back. As for pictures dont have a clue how to do that. Im proud of myslef for geting this far

There are gunsmiths that can put the safety back in if you want to keep the gun.

If it says "safe" on it, then it originally had one and it was removed.

It could be put back in with some work. Or be left as is and used as a target gun.

Thanks to everyone who responded. Im sending the gun back. The pictures never showed the saftey and he never mention there wasn't one on it.
