Upgrading Forend checkering to Full Cover
A higher grade gun that was supposed to have full cover checkering had its forend badly aged and damaged. The owner had a good piece of DH forend wood that fit the metal reasonably well. So, I went to work on converting the standard multipoint pattern seen on grade 3 and above Parkers to a full cover pattern.
The forend with original DH checkering.

The new border is scratched in around the outer edge of the forend and the existing cut lines are extended out. Some light file work is needed at the edges of the old pattern to remove some of the "hump" at the border.
