Default Trojan Questions

I just acquired a Trojan no. 2099xx. Marked Parker Bros. Makers. Meriden, CT USA. Barrels appear to have been cut to 26 7/8" face of breech to muzzle. Also gun has been refinished including receiver is now blued. 2 1/2" chambers. There appears to be no serial number on barrels. My guess is chokes have been cut off. Does this make sense?
Also have been unable to determine vintage.
Not bought as a collector but as a shooter.
Thanks

But without the full serial number we can't tell you anything at all about the gun. The full serial number will at least tell us the original barrel length.

Unfortunately Richard, there are no records whatsoever on Parker No. 209902 so we couldn't even hazard a guess as to original barrel length, or for that matter, anything at all about your Trojan. It is what it is. Enjoy it.
Parker 12 gauge Trojans were made with barrel lengths of 26", 28" and 30".

Default Serial number question

Thank you for your response.
I will have it checked by gunsmith and take to South Texas for dove and quail.

Default Another Question

Would I be correct in assuming that the barrels on this Trojan are not original because there is no serial number?
If a second set of barrels had been fitted by the factory, wouldn't the second set have some serial number?
Thank you

Parker Bros would (normally) have stamped the serial number on the left side of the locking lug.
