Default Please Check this

I am travelling and have run across a 12 gauge VHE 3 frame. The gun is in great condition and has a beavertail forearm and the barrel flats are stamped, "3 inch." The serial number is 158846. Could someone please check the Serialization book and let me know what turns up. The gun looks original except for possibly some cold blue on the barrels. I am not too familiar with the beavertail forearm but this one does not seem to have the attaching iron on the barrels that I have seen on the forum or in the Serialization book. It does match the checkering perfectly that is on the butt stock. I have no photos but may be able to get some this coming week. All numbers match.

Thanks,

Dennis

DHE capped pistol grip with 28" 12 ga barrels. No code in the book for a beavertail.

It is definitely a VHE and the barrels are stamped Vulcan barrels. I apologize and will have to see the gun again, probably Wednesday, to recheck the serial number. I hate when that happens.

Sorry again,

Dennis

Even a research letter would probably not address the 3-frame. There may be some kind of a "heavy" notation and the chamber length might be noted but those are big may be's.
