Hello Keith, for those of us who are not familiar with your operation, could you tell us the scope of services you offer and staffing level. For example, Del Grego's provides full service gunsmithing on parkers and Winchester model 21's but basically works alone. Brad Bachelder provides full services as well and has a staff of at least 7 'smiths' working in the shop.

Hello Keith & welcome to the board.

Kirk is well respected as one of the premier shotgun barrel men in America. You should be honored to be an apprentice to such a master craftsman.

Good luck with the apprenticeship!!! We need all the good double gunsmiths we can get.

I talked with Kirk yesterday and made a plan to send my 20 gauge damascus barrels for a detailed evaluation, repair and refinish. Photos to follow.

Best regards,

Jeff B.

Kirk is an old friend. He is also in the highest rungs of double gun craftsmanship. Keith has a worthy mentor.

Also, PGCA Member should know that Kirk has a new website with much information:

www.MerrringtonGun.com

I recommend a visit.

Mr. Newell

Kirk and I are a full service Gunsmith shop. We do everything from strip & cleans, to sleaving barrels. The only thing we really don't do is woodwork but we do quite a few stock bends and recoil pads. Also, we have a few great Woodmen that we utilize.

Hmmm.
That's quite odd. The URL isn't supposed to be cap-sensitive. But "Whatever works."

Let's make it : http://www.merringtongun.com
