Default TROJAN WITH BARREL EXTENSION

I have a Parker 16 gauge Trojan built in 1912 which was the first year Parker made Trojans. What's interesting about my Trojan is that it has a top rib extension. The Parker Story on page 135 states that some of the early Trojans had rib extensions and a there is a photo on this page showing two Trojans, one with, and one without the extension.
My question is "how rare is the Trojan with the rib extension and how does this affect the value of my Trojan"?
I have had this gun for nearly 40 years---I bought it because of its excellent all original condition---years after I purchased it I found out that the rib extension is not too common and that most (of the ones I've seen) do not have an extension.
I am thinking of finding a new home for my Trojan but I need to get opinions of whether it is indeed scarce and how this may affect its value compared to what I believe is the more common Trojan without the extension
Comments and opinions would be appreciated.

Bill,

You are correct about the rib extension on your Trojan being a feature of the earlier Trojans. It was eliminated after a few years because it's purpose was most likely deemed not important.
To answer your question about rarety. It is not really rare at all. Considering that every Trojan for the first few years of production had it. And many more after that as parts were used up and such. Thousands of guns would have the extension.
The rib extension would not be considered a value adder.

Default PARKER TROJAN

Thanks for your response Mr Dudley. I had hoped for a few more posts but maybe the subject is "old hat" to the veteran Parker collectors.

Bill, I agree with what Brian has told you and I will add that I had Trojan No. 202066 which is a 1923 gun made with 26" barrels with what may have been the last known Trojan 16 with that rib extension feature. It has been completely refinished but is a beautiful Parker and is a wand in the grouse woods. See page 14 of the Spring 2013 Issue of Parker Pages under Parkers Found. My brother-in-law now owns and shoots 204066 quite well on clays and pa'tridge.
