Guys;

It ain't the cookin it's the cleanin up that makes married life somewhat civil.

Now if I can just get her to learn to pour four fingers our marriage would inprove vastly.

BTW she did shovel snow today, at least for a while.

Default Four Fingers- huumm- that's a buncha bourbon??

Roger- I never advise any man on his relationship with either his wife or his girl friend (or both if you like to live dangerously I guess) but with Valentine's day approaching, perhaps she would appreciate her own Toro lightweight 2 cycle snow-blower- the ones with the 100 volt tap for electric start are a real nice way to let that lady know you care--just a thought of course!!

Calvin,

Anytime you're in the area feel free to stop by. I've always got White Owl cigars and Pabst Blue Ribbon on hand. If you can't me near payday there might even be a bottle of whiskey hid in the back of the cabinet.

Roger,

Just when we get to talking about a little afternoon of shooting we get this damned winter blast. I'm in town most of the month, we'll find a day once the roads clear.

Quail season ends the 28th of this month.

NSTRA field trial season starts the 27th of this month in my region. My friend Cy Shook's beautiful young wife Leah rode with the judge and took these during a trial last Fall. That is me, not Brad Pitt, with my French Brittany Red. He is two.

Two different finds in sequence - point, flush, shot, retrieve.

The last picture is my pack: Red, Dubya, Belle, and Molly in the back of the Expedition.

Destry;

Sorry to report that Paul (squirrel woods) had a heart attack last Wed but is now home and he told me that he will be okay in time as there was no damage to the heart.

He had stints and some kind of clot block buster serum ala a cobra.

Soon as the roads clear up I am going down to see him. ie Baltimore/DC area is not alone in this damn snow.

As a side note I just got a beat up old VH 12 with 30" barrels back from Keith Kearcher. I bought it a couple of years ago at Tulsa for $250. Only think wrong with it was a cracked stock, worn out back trigger sear, off face, poorly refinished, choked 35 and 40, the barrels were ring bulged and dented.

Keith welded the hook and fixed the sear and added sling swivels and fixed the stock, fixed the barrel dents and bulges, opened the chokes. Charged me $620. I now have $870 dollars in the gun and I bet I can get $300 for it anytime.

I am going to use it for my field trial gun this Spring.

Best,

Mike

Mike: That's my track record in the world of junkers, which is why I still own them all.

Yeah, like the stockbroker says; "You haven't lost any money until you sell."
