How about we do this the easier way and you tell what you have into it and someone can tell you of they think you are buried off the bat or not. ?

There was a total of 4 guns I bought,,,,, the parker is one,,,,winchester 62 which is mostly a parts gun,,,,remo mauser 16 gauge,,, and a Winchester 250 22 lever gun I gave 1000 for all 4 I could have bought the parker by itself for 700 but chose to buy all 4 to help soften the parker price

hard to say. Parts value of what you have there is better than what you have into it. But as a fixer upper, you are kind of getting into a break even scenario depending on how you go about doing it.

"Maybe he can find the forend" is the best option. Nothing in your purchase can get you to $1000 unless you get the Parker running.

Toby, just so you know, you can cock the gun in this way:
1. install the barrels onto the receiver. 2. use your finger or whatever to push in the pin that protrudes out from the radius of the receiver where the forearm would normally fit and hold it down. 3. with your other hand hold the gun as you would usually do and push the top lever to the right until he barrels open a bit. 4. Now you can stop pushing the pin and grasp the barrels and tilt them downward as if you were opening the gun. This will cock your hammers. From here you can close the barrels as usual. Do Not pivot the top lever again unless you are holding on to the barrels as they will fall off the action when the forearm is not on. I hope this helps! |
