Okay, interesting....i bought all three 11-48's 25 years ago from an estate sale, that is why i was given SOME word of mouth provenance. The 28 bore is marked MOD, so definitely not factory. Both .410's are within three serial numbers, and both are marked CYL. I have seldom seen .410's in cylinder bore, and most commonly either full or skeet. My supposition is this fellow ordered the two guns intending to put cutts on immediately. Without having to sacrifice barrel length cutting the choke out. Both barrels are 26" before the cutts, almost 30 with. All three guns were cut to 13" LOP, including being fitted with Pach white lines. Will have to delve deeper..

I use a model 42 for rabbits when I'm not using a Parker. I have a pair of Bailey full length 410 tubes I got with a 20 ga Parker from Jim DiSpagno. I haven't tried them yet. Anyone had experience with these?

I just added a circa 1970 Browning Superposed 410 26 1/2" SK&SK . We shall see how this one feels in my hands . I might add I also picked up a circa 1970 Browning Superposed 28 gauge 28" SK&SK .
Both about 3-6 hours ago ! |

My .410 is a DeHaan SGrS. After buying a nice Parker reproduction 20 gauge, I gave the .410 to my youngest daughter.

Nice find! Skeet , lightning or super light config? May sound like a dumb question with sk&sk chokes, but i have superlights that are skeet and skeet....and personally thing superposed superlights are the "bees knees"!!

I had a 20 gauge Superlight in my hands a couple years ago , it was a good solid gun but it would have needed a stock refinish for me to be satisfied with it . So I sold it to someone else for more then I would have paid ! I have six Superposed now (well provided I'm satisfied with these two when they arrive) . I think I still need a nice 32" Broadway and one of the old early 12 gauge field guns with factory double triggers . I've had a pair of the old double trigger 12's in my hands before and like a lot of other things , they sold for more then I was willing to pay . The 28 gauge from the GB pics . ![]() ![]() ![]() And GB pics of the 410 ! ![]() ![]() With the addition of these two I have a 12 gauge 26 1/2" skeet circa 1968 , a 20 gauge 26 1/2" skeet circa 1965 , the 28 gauge 28" skeet circa 1970 and the circa 1970 410 skeet 26 1/2" . |
