Bruce, Mark's Born Again Bird Guns sold a "Silvers type" pad that I am using on my AE Fox 30" barreled 16 ga. It has small screw-hole plugs which, IMHO, look much better on a small bore doublegun than the original type Silvers pads with their huge screw hole plugs. It is gently contoured on the face, moreso than a Silvers.
I can't pull up a link to the pads themselves, but a call to Mark would reveal whether or not they're still available. I may be too picky, but with my guns I can be that way. And, I just hate the way a recoil pad with overly large hole plugs looks on a small bore gun. Griffin & Howe also used to have a Silvers type pad with small plugs, but they're no longer available. I'd love to find a few for sale. https://www.mbabllc.com/contact_us.html This is what it looks like: ![]() |

I have been using slip
On Beartooth pads on some Short Parkers. For 25 or so you have several inserts that would be perfect |

I also use slip on pads to lengthen some guns' LOP, when there is a recoil pad already on the gun but not long enough for me (34" sleeves). But, I use the leather Kick Killer brand of pads. They add 1/2" and can be removed easily, but I do hate covering up pretty wood in the back end of a buttstock, even for a few hours. They do work, though!
