Wow! That's more than I thought there would have been. Thanks for checking that out Bob.

Check your Double Gun Journals from 2000 to 2002. There was a very nice
32" DHE 28 ga with straight stock, beavertail FE, and vent rib listed.

Not many of those around.

If my memory is not faulty, a very nice 28ga 32" DHE, everything right about the gun, went for close to 30k 5-6 years ago. I think it was a 32 but it could have been a 30.

Now, please don't mistake my statement for any value on any present gun. I never know what a gun would sell for, but sometimes I know what similar guns have sold for, and every gun is different and every situation is different.

That would be fun on 28 ga. events on live birds.

Default 28 ga 34 inch barrels

There is at least one 34 inch 28 gauge. Chadick advertised it several times, and I saw it there around 1996.

Best, Austin

Wow. Now your talking.
I'm still after that nice 8 and a half pound 34" 20 DHE that was at Julias in 2009.
The 28 ga will have to wait.

About 10 Years ago ,a fellow walked into the Monroeville gun show in Pa. with a DHE 28 Ga. w/32" Barrels ,he was offering it for ,$25,000.00 ,A couple of acres of property or an old Corvette ,said he wasn't particular which came first ! At the time ,I didn't have and couldn't have came up with the 25 Grand ,never did have an old Corvette ,I had the property but wasn't sure I wanted this fella for a new neighbor ,so I passed ,but I had her in my hands for about five minutes and it was a treasure ! Often wished I would have taken the mans name and number ,who knows ,still may be available ! Russ

Russ,
Can you remember if the gun had a straight grip with the skeleton butt plate. If it did, I think I know the gun and it was sold. The reason I remark is that the same day you replied to this thread I was at my uncles and he was showing me his DHE 12 gauge trap gun. While looking the gun over, he brought a vhs tape out of him shooting that particular gun at our local club. But anyways, to begin the tape there was a gentlemen at the club shooting trap with a beautiful 28 gauge DHE, 32 inch barrels, straight grip and a skeleton butt plate. The tape has to be about 10-15yrs old and when the owner of the gun was going over the gun with the camera man, he said it was estimated to be worth between 12 and 15 thousand! My uncle then said that the gentleman has since sold the gun. I figure there aren't to many of those guns in such a configuration. Also, where I am from is not that far from the Pittsburgh/Monroeville area. Just thought that I would share that. Garret

Hello Garret, that is interesting , In my previous post ,I mistakenly listed DHE ,The gun was in fact a CHE,I should proof read my posts ! There are some nice Parkers in our area ,the one fellow that regularly does that particular show has a few nice 28 Ga. Parkers ,I know because ,I knew of two he had and another OO Frame ,he bought from me !
