Brian posted what I was thinking, that the gun was ordered with no engraving... look at the skeleton buttplate - no engraving.
The level of engraving coverage is that of a GH or Grade-2 so I don’t believe it was engraved by Remington, they would have known what was appropriate.

And note the serial number on the trigger guard. It is in the proper D style. Which would be normal for a gun ordered without engraving. The engraving of “Parker Bros” on the side of the frame would also be normal for a gun ordered without engraving. I am not necessarily saying that the name on the gun now is original, but it would have at least been on the frame. Other examples I have seen of unengraved guns, the name is usually inbetween the screws, like on a Trojan, P or V grade.

Just when you think you've seen it all, a $1500 Parker shows up on gunbroker for $4089.00. Actually, an interesting gun. I don't think the engraving was done at Remington or Parker. It was probably part of the "restoration" of a rare unengraved gun. How about that trigger guard!
