I have had good luck with RST shells and have had nothing but positive experiences with them. I keep wanting to get set up for shotshell reloading, but just haven't done it yet.
I buy shells from them in 10 and 12 gauge. In the 12's I have really started to like the 2 1/2" Falcon Lite 7/8oz. 1200fps. loads. Very easy on the you and the gun, but very effective at sporting clays. For preserve hunting, I like the 2 1/2" 1oz. Paper Lite 1175fps. shells as you can get them in #6's and #7's. I did try some 2 1/2" Ultra Lite 3/4oz. 1125fps. last weekend and they did well. The pressure on these is 4300psi, which is what I wanted for the specific gun I was shooting. I have also used their Lite and Spreader Lite 2 1/2" 1oz. shells and again nothing but good things... I have also been pleasantly surprised by the Maxi Lites 2 1/2" 1oz. 1125fps. It's a nice light 1oz. load. I did buy some 2 1/2" 1oz. 1250fps. Fibre Wad shells, but have not had a chance to use them yet. I thought they would be nice in my F/F guns. Hopefully, I'll have a chance to use them when I have some time off over the holidays. In 10 gauge I have used their 2 7/8" 1 1/8oz and 1 1/4oz. shells and they shoot very well. If you ask, they will make 2 5/8" 1 1/8oz. shells which are roll crimped and 1100fps. I have ordered a few cases of these and they perform well. I don't know where else you could get these shells. I hope that helps, Jay |

I have used their 10 ga BBs and 2s loaded with bismuth, 1 1/4 oz, on geese this year out of a EH. One was killed in the air, head shot, with 2s. The other was wrecked but hit the ground alive. He was further and hit with BBs. Not anything to complain about. It's great ammo. You will become a fan as are many shooters and hunters on this site are. Try it. Polywad is excellent stuff as well. I use a lot of it.

My first woodcock and pheasant of the season this year was with a new to me VHE 12 gauge on one frame with RST shells. That woodcock over our setters point and the smell of that RST paper shell is a memory I will cherish forever. I have used RST shells for years and highly recommend them. I use mostly 1oz in the 12s and 1oz or 7/8 in the 16 depending on what we are after. 1 oz of copper plated #6 shot worked very nicely on Ct. stocked pheasant.

I have a good stock of mostly Lite 2 1/2 inch. 5/8 ounce 28-gauges, 3/4 & 7/8 ounce 20-gauges, 7/8 ounce 16-gauges and 7/8 & 1 ounce 12-gauges. But, just in case, I have a flat of their paper 2 3/4 inch 12-gauge Pigeon Loads 3 1/4 dram equiv, 1 1/4 ounce. For all their good work though, paper RSTs just don't smell as good as Federal papers!!
