Which RST shells do you use?

I need to order some more RST shells. I have used RST 21/2 Best Grade Lite (1175) 1oz and RST 21/2 Best Grade Paper-Lite (1175) 1oz for clays and hunting. What do you use? Have you used RST 21/2 Best Grade Fibre Wad (1250) 1oz? What is your opinion about them and what do you use them for? BillK

I have used most of RST's loads in 2.5" in 28, 20, 16, 12, and 10 gauge and have been quite satisfied in all of them. There were a couple that burned a bit dirty about 8 years ago or so but not lately. I tend not to overthink this stuff and just buy it and shoot it. You won't be disappointed in anything RST sells.

I use everything they load. I try to stay at the lower end of shot weight and velocity. I own a couple of boxes of 1 1/4 ounce pigeon loads, but haven't shot them yet.

I never bought any heavy loads from them because I've never had the need.

I have used a few for both clays and hunting. I have been quite satisfied with all of them with one exception. This would be the 2 1/2" 1 oz. of #7 shot spreader load for hunting. I find that I get many more crippled pheasants and runners for the dog to find than when using #6 shot. Unfortunately, #7 is the largest shot size that RST makes in a spreader. I wish that RST would make this load and their 2 3/4" 1 1/8 oz. spreader in #6 for tight barrels in the field. With that said, I should mention that their current offerings in spreaders work brilliantly on clay targets out of a tightly choked barrel.

I second the desire for some #6 spreader loads.

Polywad has a #6 spreader.

Is it a low pressure load like the RSTs are?

I use the 2 1/2oz best grade. I don't have a need for the fibre wads or paper shells in 2 1/2" length. I also use their 2" loads. The 2" are roll crimped and some of the loads are in paper shells. These 2" loads are a little dirtier than the standard 2 1/2" loads.
