Thanks John and Jeff. It appears so far that 1895 is the earliest so far. Thank you for sharing.

The earliest one here would be a good candidate for Parkers Found.

Parker as a general rule, didn't put frame sizes in the order books. I think I remember a few notes on the frame but very few. The same is true in the stock books up until 1925. Parker changed the type of register they used and it included a column for frame sizes. On the 12ga. generally a 1 frame would weigh in the high 6 pound to low 7 pound range. 1 1/2 frames would be from 7 to the mid 7 pound range, and the 2 frame would be from the high 7 pounds to the 8 pound range. Of course there are exceptions due to barrel length and denser wood. Trojans were on the 2 frame and they seem to be in the 7 pound range from the few pages I've looked at.

My GH 82003 1 1/2 frame was built in 1895. Last I looked in the Parker's Found my serial number is earlier than the one listed.

Default EARLY 1 FRAME

I just got a DH uplifter that has a 1 frame mark on the barrels number to the gun serial number 26101. What is the earliest 1 frame? Anyone have a guess? Frank
