First 1 1/2 frame
Can anyone tell me when the first 1 1/2 frame Parker was built?
|
phil are you getting tierd of toteing that big 8 ga...charlie
|
Only Chuck Bishop can tell you. Maybe not, though, since frame sizes noted in stock books came a bit later if I recall right.
|
Charlie it does get a little heavy at times. When I need a break I take the W C Scott it weighs a pound less. LOL.
I noticed today, my DH made in 1896 is on a 1 1/2 frame. |
They were making guns on the 1-1/2 frame in the 1890s. I can tell you that.
|
The Parker Story references a known 1898 gun with the 1 1/2 frame size so if yours is truly a 1896 gun with athe 1 1/2 frame size it may certainly be or be one of the very first Parkers made on that frame size.

Dean this is my first Parker and the one I reference in the Dog/Parker story I forwarded to you. I had never noticed until today that it was on a one and a half frame, also one of only a dozen DH's mentioned in the Parker Story with the first Vulcan Steel barrels.

I received the pictures today Phil - That's one very interesting DH for sure!

I pcked up a CH 1 1/2 frame made in 1895 a couple years ago. I'd have to check the letter for details.

Hi Phil,
My DH was produced in 1895. It's a 1 1/2 frame size. Best regards, Jeff Bonadurer |
