The wrist looks pretty beefy to me. I'd shoot it; if it breaks, so be it, make another or repair it with reinforcements. I doubt it will break unless you beat a rhino to death with it....

And that dent doesn't look like it can be raised much from inside. If it's not near the chambers I'd likely measure the wall thickness around it, raise it what little I could and not worry much about it.

Preston keep us posted. This is an interesting thread. Have you tried inserting a probe into the separation? You could possibly measure the depth.

Default Near Final Pics

Hi,
Here are the pics of the Green double in almost finished state. The trigger guard , hammers, and stock are not original. The barrels were beautifully refinished by Bachelder and look much better than in the pics. To see the engraving detail it is necessary to zoom in. The lettering on the rib reads "
Edwinson C Green Maker Cheltenham Engd ( Winner of the 2 first prizes field trials) Agents C&A Hayden Jacksonville Ill." I loaded up some brass shells with 70 grns of fff and 1 1/4 oz of 7 1/2 shot and it shoots well to point of aim. It really powders the clay birds.
