Tell your Uncle to kill his 10 or 12 and quit. At $8 to $10 a bird for additionals it gets pricey quick!

I've hunted at Samara Plantation near Moultrie/Sylvester,Ga. many times and Southern Wood Plantation in Sylvester,Ga many times. Both good places with great accomodations and guides. My choice for my dad would be Samara.

I booked the quail hunt with Wild Wing Lodge in Sturgis, KY. After talking with the owner I think it's just what I'm lokig for. We leave Monday morning but he won't find out til Sunday afternoon! I know I'm going to take my GH 20 and might take a lifter 12. I'll post pics when we get back. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Hi Mike,

I have hunted Burnt Pine Plantation in Madison GA. If your current trip does not work out, it is a good choice. It is about 1 1/2 hours east of Atlanta. During the 80's when my career only allowed for a few days off, I did a combo 3 day deer and quail hunt. Burnt Pine provided dogs and guide for quail hunts. I limited out on quail each hunt. The dogs were fantastic!!! Burnt Pine does release pen birds to supplement their natural quail habitat. The facility, food and accomadations were first class. I highly reccomend Burnt Pine Plantation. Also harvested a nice 8 point deer. I still see the directional signs for Burnt Pine when I go to my current hunting club so I am pretty sure they are still in business.
