No safety guns are the epitome of Parker, Smith, and Fox collector guns. I've even seen a no safety Model 21. The greatest evidence of no safety guns are pigeon guns of the pre ATA days.

Up to a point I can understand a no-safety compitition/target gun, but not on a field gun. As for these "club" guns, just being able to afford the price of admission does not guarantee being safe in a blind.

You could say it was Grandfathered in.

I would be leaving that old Silver alone, or sell it to me, the gun not the pad.

I am with Bill leave it as is. A new pad will spoil a very classy gun just my opinion. I will take it as is and keep it as is. You asked

I respect and appreciate your input.

This pad however is really a mess. Crushed, cracked, gouged, misshapen. The worst facet on an otherwise handsome vintage Parker.
I'd never trash it, but must it really stay?
