Both groups of GG engraved Repros have extreme value, and that value would be determined by the degree of decoration and the configuration. A maximum effort GG 0000 frame .410 would be at the top of the heap with lesser decorated 20 and 12 gauge guns at the bottom. Those guns at the bottom don't get too cheap, obviously. Examples of the GG engraved guns done during the production run of factory Repros are illustrated in one or more of the Reagent CC folders. As I recall, no variation of Gournet engraved factory era Repros were priced in the folders. They were all custom order except the Duck Stamp models.

Did Geoffroy do the engraving on the Duck Stamp guns?

Now that you ask that question, my answer would be "I'm not sure until I either ask Geoffrey or find evidence in my research file."

I may be wrong but weren't Tony's guns serial numbered without the prefixing gauge number??

I don't know if this is an indicator, but look at the difference in the markings and engine turning on a factory engraved A1 vs the one on Gunbroker. Also note the water table on the factory engraved gun has "A-1" ahead of the serial number and an "A" on the barrel flats (vs a "B" on the Gunbroker gun). Looks to me like an in-the-white gun that was engraved later. Last edited by Marvin Kells; 02-19-2013 at 08:36 AM.. |

Does anyone know how many guns were factory engraved in 12 gauge? I know of one. I have seen only one. All the others must be in deep cover.

Bill when you ask GG about the engraving...please ask how many duck stamp guns did get finished? thanks Kenny Graft. I wish I had 20K to invest...I would own that A-1 listed on G-broker! After the last DHE-410/28 from CSM Im tapped! Actualy I use and shoot my guns and the A-1 would sit in the safe.....I will keep looking for DHE 12ga in steel shot spl. and a sporting clays model with double triggers. I would take a loan for one of them!.....
