That location may help me in confirming its history in my family.
depending on how/by whom the order was placed it may state the individual or the company that placed the order.

I would expect that the lower the grade the more likely a gun was part of a company order- for stock, but even some D's and above show only the company name. I still find it interesting to know that a gun has survived over a hundred years in a small geographical area.

Rick, first, I'm sorry for the late response, and to clear up some confusion, this Parker started its history with my family in Covesville, then moved to S. Florida in the late 40's to early 50's.

George P. is very correct in stating that no order book information will be available in this serial number range. That means that no purchaser information will be available, only the basic specifications of the gun. As long as we're asking "Hamner" questions, my Commanding Officer in 1969 was Captain George Hamner whose combat unit patch was the 101st Airborne with Ranger stripe. I don't know what other units he had been affiliated with. He was a well repected company officer who sentenced me to purchase a $25.00 ($18.75 net) savings bond after returning from an eleven day questionable leave. I modeled my supervisory career after Captain Hamner for 29 years in the private and government sector. I just googled him for the first time since 1969. I am amazed that I pick my friends so well.
