Parker Bros most likely would have had one Master Engraver with a few apprentice or journeyman engravers. The Master Engraver was generally responsible for the layout design and the execution of the higher and highest grades while the other engravers, depending on their level of experience and quality of their work were given the assignments of the less demanding engraving. Someplace around here I have a chronology of Parker Bros. engravers, stockers, shoe filers, barrel makers, etc. but I am in the process of rearranging and tidying up my office/sports room so it would be a bit difficult to put my hands on it quickly.
