I'm sure you are right. Particularly after he told others he had received no warnings.

I don't suppose many of us here need any influnce on which way we are going to vote anyway. I get tired of the political email. Honostly, I don't think you can change the mind with emails. Lost people are just that. Now back to it I bought a cool take down case from Mr. Lien stuffed my 28 inch 16 gauge in it. My 28 inch 12 will fit as well. Best ch

I for one appreciate the no politics policy on this forum, even when I agree with a person's choice of candidate.

When you sign up, you must follow the rules. If you don't like the rules, don't sign up. There is a forum for everything. If you like to talk politics, sign up on one of those forums.

With that said, censorship is a bad policy, IMHO. Tyrants are sponsors of censorship. Everyone is entitled to his opinion. They're just not entitled to have it accepted. If you don't like someone's opinion, disagree or ignore the thread.

I assume all of us here support our right to own firearms so why wouldn't we support anothers right to free speech? One right is no more important than the other. Politics is important. The choices we make have consequences. Why can't folks who want to talk politics do so in an Off Topic section? What is the real harm?

Aren't we talking politics when we discuss gun rights or game laws here? Those topics are political. Who should decide what political topics are appropriate for discussion here?

IMHO with no offense meant.

Our appointed Administrator and Moderator decide these things in keeping with the policies set forth by the PGCA BOD.

You said yourself that they should go to political forums to discuss political matters... we are not one of those forums.

I am sorry that anyone got banned but our webmaster did warn him.

I like and admire my Parker friends because of our common interests in guns and hunting. I know that at least a few have vastly different politics than do I. That is okay with me because I like them as people and gun enthusiasts.

On some occasions one must simple agree to disagree with another person's beliefs. When we enter this Parker web domain it is one of those times. No politics, just guns!

Dean

I know what I said, i.e. go else where to talk politics. I understand the policy. And I know who decides such things. My questions over "who decides" was intended to provoke thought, not contempt.

I don't think you and I disagree on what topics are appropriate here in accordance with the policy. I'm not sure of your point to me. I was merely expressing my thoughts on the wisdom of the policy. Is there no room here for an opinion regarding a policy? I also said "no offense meant", so if I did, pls accept my apology.

Best, Ray

Ray, you and I are not at odds and there is no reason to apologize.

The BOD believes that the PGCA Forum should not be the vehicle for raising issues that tend to polarize people and incite contentious remarks that would tend to do harm to the good name of the gentlemen and ladies of the PGCA. We are all here to enjoy, discuss and learn about all things Parker as well as other guns and interests pertaining to shooting and hunting. Everyone should remember that it is a priviledge granted by the PGCA and moderated by two gentlemen that allows us all to share our interests here on the forum... as long as they stay within the Forum Rules.... which, by the way, are pretty broad.

John,

I can't read it because I'm not a PGCA member. Bill Faulk is a member, and I hope that he reconsiders him membership, base upon your treatment of him. You can "warn" me that I have crossed the PGCA line. But, I don't care. I am sticking with my opinion that you have treated Mr. Faulk shabbily.
