That's quite a goose for certain. Did you weigh it? The heaviest one I ever saw, my father and doubled down on years ago. It weighed just over 19 pounds on a legal scale. There was one mounted in a restaurant down at home that supposedly weighed 22 pounds when killed.

Oldest band I ever shot had been on the goose 11 years and it had been banded as an adult. Friends father killed one that had been on the goose 26 years as amazing as that sounds.

Didn't weigh it but will try. It is real big true and for certain.
OK, using the bathroom scale and subtracting my my tare weight, it is about 15lbs. If you'll recall, I showed another one like this last year next to my Johnsons (decoys). Ducks were OK this AM.

Oh yeah! I forgot about that other monster you posted pics of.

Fifteen pounds is huge, I've only ever seen a handful in that range.

No luck on the ducks so far for me, what water I can find is too far from cover to do me any good. And I'm not seeing many ducks anyway.

Could be my next duck shoot will be with Densmore out of the layout boats.
