I took her out to the sporting clays and I came away thinking why would anyone need such a massive quail gun? I decided to use Polywad's Vintagers 2 inch shells loaded with 2-1/4 dram eq. and 24 grams of 7-1/2 shot.
After the first shot I stopped to check the gun out because the sound was so muffled I thought I blew a bbl. I took the second shot and I had to stop again. I don't know if it was the 2 inch shell or the mass on the gun but I never heard a gun soud like that. And of course recoil was almost none. I thought I was shooting a .410. Next time I'm gonna try the 2-1/2 inch shells.
