Tom, I never use glue to reattach encaps to a case; I handsew everything. The only time I use glue is to layer up handle filler strips when I'm making a custom handle or when I need to firmly set the "butterfly" type handle loops in place before I stitch them on. These come up and over the top of the case and go down the sides about an inch and a half, so there is no way to hold them in place as you try to stitch the margin lines. Glue has probably ruined more cases than rendered them usable again. Stay away from it unless there is absolutely no alternative; it's a mess to work with and NEVER dries "clear", as most manufacturers claim.

Never ask Kevin about glue unless you want a longer reply than you planned to get from him. I gave him another project today and I want him to concentrate in it. The show today was more than I could have imagined. A bunch of Parkers of not too much merit, very nice Winchester pump guns, a neat Baker Paragon with fluid steel barrels, a Parker Special Steel GH Grade ten gauge, an Easton, MD marked hammer gun that may have been a Lindner, a high condition late 20 gauge Model 11D Remington, a rather high condition non ejector, double trigger 20 gauge Model 21, a high condition Francotte 20 gauge ejector gun with Miller trigger, you name it. Come on down, you may find more.

Thank You Kevin, I kind of remember you saying that but I just wanted to make sure. Glue seems like a easy fix but is irreversible so I wanted to do it right. Thanks again.
