Default The mystery gun....

It is interesting to note that the serial numbers do not match...I would guess that the reason the skeet barrels have their own forend is that set of barrels was added after the one barrel set left the factory. 28-15 would have been the full S.N. and probably a test barrel set or from one of the 25 family guns made, or or or ??? It is the lowest S.N. 28ga. I know of! I will record this in my collection of repro records.....its a uneek set! I would love to know the whole story....thanks all SXS ohio....(-:

Good catch Kenny, I didn't notice that discrepancy the first time through. Weren't the National Sporting Fraternity edition of Repros all two barrel sets? If so, it begs the question on how other NSF guns are numbered? (Meaning, did this edition start life as a one barrel set with a regular SN and then the 2nd set of barrels were added and numbered XX of 100 for the NSF?)
Check out the SN of this NSF 12-ga. http://www.artfact.com/auction-lot/p...1-c-t2tzczo34j

Good morning Kenny....good spot on the NSFL Repro. what if this set started life as a "normal" limited edition set with 26" and 28" inch barrels, the longer set of barrels were damaged or destroyed and the owner bought replacement barrels of 26''...this might explain the difference in #'s..or the more likely case is I have way too much time on my hands and am overthinking this...

The wood is awesome. That's the first time I've seen the NSF logo on the rib, isn't it usually on the side of the barrels?
