I generally use my VH 16 on a 1 frame. It is now choked IC/IC, since my friend had only an IC choke reamer. This is my go to gun and I have no regrets about changing it from its original M/F boring. That said, I shoot sporting clays much better with my FAIR Rizzini 600 w/ double triggers o/u .

As of the 2011 season, my 'go to' gun for the Ruffed Grouse is a nice, 1929 vintage Trojan in 20 gauge with 28 inch barrels, choked modified and full. My 'nostalgia' grouse gun is an 1886 vintage Grade 1 (I) top lever hammer gun in 10 gauge. It has 30 inch 'Laminated Steel' barrels with their original full and full chokes.
