Mike Stahle, I did not take it that you were trying to urge this method to the readership, but that you were merely reporting on your new toy, and perhaps even that you wanted feedback on what others thought about the laser boresight in shotguns.

I am no expert, but I have seen some interesting matters by just positioning the barrels on a steady support and looking down them centered to a point target and then comparing by sighting down the rib or bead. I do that when someone mentions to me that he thinks the gun shoots off, and while most of the time the barrels are dead on with the bead sight, sometimes they are off. I don't know what to do with a double when that happens, but with a single barrel, the barrel can be bent.

Mike, may I invite you to join the PGCA ? You've been around a while.
