Patrick, depending on the serial number, a Remington Parker can be provenanced by information in the stock book entry. There can be all sorts of interesting information on the IBM cards, but not often and not complete specifications on any of them. Many of the features of the gun in question are proven by the gun itself. Are you sure that the reinforcing dowel isn't just the plug commonly seen in a checkered butt?
