John this was my first year in 12 hunting without Shortstop my pointer out of Elhew Snakefoot line. And Pete lost his old pointer also. But Triple is doing fine and is fun to watch in the field. We are in the snow, I had seen a rooster creeping along and put Triple where she would cross his path. She runs and halts at the tracks and starts tracking the wrong way. I tell her to whoa and point the other direction and tell her to go that way, and SHE DOES. How does that work? And she's female!

That's normal - at least in my world???

When I tell a female to "WHOA" and "go away" - they always do..????

It also keeps my wife happy....

Which - well - ultimately keeps me happy. When my wife is unhappy - my life is made unhappier than hers - by her...?

Now - I'll ask you the same...

Seems like it always is cold and snows when we go late season. We drove by the Gerauld County courthouse ( one block away from the cafe) hoping to get some pictures of the Occupy South Dakota people, but we didn't find anybody there. I suppose they were all up at the bar at the VFW club, don't know, we could never find them.

Photos of the "Occupy" South Dakota protesters will be shared in the Parker Pages for PGCA Members to enjoy.

Bruce,
Sorry to hear of your loss of Shortstop. I too loss my pointing lab Parker this year very suddenly. He was only 9 1/2 but you would never have known he was'nt a 3 yr. old. They leave us way too soon. I took 2 new dogs out with me this year and it really eased the pain. Thanks for the photos- looks like you all had a great time.
