His best trick happened when the first person in the house would come into the kitchen in the morning. When indoors, Parker only walked on linoleum, wouldn't set foot on carpet, so the kitchen was his spot.

Ed always took his collar off him at night and Parker knew that his day began when he had his collar on. So whoever went into the kitchen first, he'd go get it and bring it to you. He'd even do it when they were staying at my house, he always knew where Ed had put it and would go get it first thing. It never failed to crack me up, that dog was smart.
