Mr. Truitt you are very modest. I reviewed the score's and you sir shot very well also. Danny and I missed seeing you guy's but it sounds like a great time was had in spite of the rain. Congratulations to you all for representing the Parker Gun so well....well done. Also let me not forget to congratulate Young Ed Jr. on great shooting...a 70..very nice.

Dr. Truitt's description of the situation is probably more accurate than the description given by those who had tables full of guns on display in the tents. As a shooter, I would have been quite pleased with the wet weather. You can only think about how unpleasant the conditions are for your competition.

Did Parker Dave & Elsie Dan fare as well this year as last in the Flurry Event? Thanks, John |

Mr. Liles, (since we are being offical)/ (whats that all about?),
Dave and Dan did win the team event in the flurry, but some other dude won the single man paired gun event. I believe Dave took runner up and Dan was right behind him. They were awesome to watch. |

After 27 hours straight this weekend working that channel closure and machinery swap-out at the High-Rise bridge, guess I just felt like I needed a.......DOCTOR!

A few photos attached below.
John the "some other dude" Truitt did indeed shoot like a madman to achieve 105 broken targets of 200 thrown in 4 minutes at the flurry with paired guns. Dave "The California Champ" Fjelline loaded for John and started out with two shell pouches and two boxes of shells in each. At just past the halfway point Dave motioned to add more shells. I dumped in two more boxes and went back to the cart for more. By the time I had gotten back with another two boxes, Dave had emptied another pouch so I dumped in another 25. I looked over at the "Dude" and he looked as though he had made it through a round with Mike Tyson, taking punches to the shoulder while juggling flaming hot skillets. I swear his left glove was smoking!! I regret that we did not get it on video...would have make a great u-tube. My best guess is that John fired about 150 rounds in 4 minutes. That's an average of 1 shot every 1.6 seconds. The "Dude" is my hero. 1st photo: Left to Right, Dan Christoffersen, Ray Poudre, John Truitt, Dave Fjelline at the awards ceremony. |
