In searching for Mrs. Davis on la84foundation.com, I found another example of how our modern shooting world is attached at the waist to the beginnings of double gun history. At the Los Angeles Gun Club, in 1917, the two winners of the Silver Trophy were Captain Du Bray and "Pachmayr". Pachmayr is assumed to be August Pachmayr, founder of the Pachmayr retail and wholesale gun empire and father of Frank Pachmayr, who some of have dealt with in our younger days. Oddly, it is the only entry for "Pachmayr" in the entire la84foundation database.

Bill that is Jostam sponge pad. A guy sold one on the double gun board the other week. I missed it. It was NIB. Kind of cool. Wish Tony Galazan made them. Mrs. Davis was very good looking and shot a Parker. What a combination.
