With all due respect to Dewey and everyone trying to figure this out. The Parker Story shows a drawing, fig. 336 on page 109 of volume one.

Chuck,
I've never seen where Parker shows a size of the spring. It does sit on the ledge of the offset pin, not surrounding the pin. The holes in the bolsters are offset accordingly and there isn't room in there for a spring except on the ledge. Unfortunately most original springs are mangled beyond recognition. I find that no more than a quarter inch diameter works well, and is less likely to tumble over in it's space. Dewey is quite correct that it doesn't take much pressure to do it's job. So 1/4 x 1/4 should fit well, but it needs to be a light duty spring.
