Default Parker Skeet Gun ?

Are Parker skeet guns marked as such?
If not, how do you know it's a skeet gun?
What determines if it's a skeet gun or not?
Thanks, Dave

Some will argue that a "true" Parker skeet gun will have "skeet in"/skeet/out" on the barrel flats. There have been other Parker skeet guns without those markings that were named as a skeet gun in research letters. And then you have those guns with skeet gun configurations but with other chokes such as IC/Mod or some other choke restrictions.

For example,
I own a VHE 26” with single trigger, and beavertail forend. It is a straight grip with a dogs head buttplate. The Remington IBM card calls it out as a “skeet special” but it is choked Mod and Mod.

No skeet chokes and no checkered butt. But it has everything else.

interestingly, the 1932 brochure from Parker titled "For your best scores at Skeet shoot a Parker" has only two guns listed in it. VHE and a Trojan, the options in their entirety are listed but it does not point the reader in any specific direction.

The 1932 .410 bore skeet brochure only mentions VHE, that special boring that was developed and 3" shell compatibility. It goes on to state that you can have the gun made to your specifications. The image shows a half pistol grip, ST, and BTFE.

Since a Remington model 32 skeet gun was in the same ad as a Parker skeet gun ,I thought I'd show my 100% original model 32 skeet.

The 3-inch .410-bore shell wasn't introduced until mid-1933 with the Winchester Model 42. I suppose industry insiders beyond Winchester/Western may have known it was coming.
