Default 2X Grand Master 'Sugar' left us today for covers above

'Sugar' my go to grouse dog lost her battle to spleen cancer today. She was 12yrs and 4mo and hunted grouse and quail right up until March of this year. The big C really sux! She was one of my outstanding 'rescue' field trial Pointing Labs. We have two younger 'rescues' field trial Labs so they will have big shoes to fill, but I am sure they will be up to the task. They will have to learn to keep their toes out from under the tracks on my WW track wheel chair. Usually, one yip and the message is received loud and clear. I am privileged to have an invite to some of Minn's private premier grouse cover, so the hunt goes on with Parker 410 or 28 in hand. Ahhhhhhh, Life is Good, just our hunting companions aren't aren't around long enough. Lousy Times!! May all of your shots be on the mark. Tom

Default Sugar

Tom, take comfort in the fact that Sugar has a great life, and she knew how much you and Carol loved her.

Our wonderful pups and family members are literally stolen from us…
My Gracie died of spleen cancer at the age of 9 years, 5 months.

Saw this on the highway yesterday on the way to grouse camp in Vermont.
This truly says it all !
