beatiful SBT - For those in the know - I didnt realize the variation of engraving on the SBT's. Two pictures below are btoh SC grade. Is this early gun / later gun ? engravers preference ? Top one looks like a lot more work.

The following is from Chuck’s email to me but states that when mine was produced , they were still standardizing the design.

The top one is a very early SC, 1917/18. After the first year or so, the SC’s feature the pigeon in flight.

the best thing about understanding this variation in engraving - is that now i have an excuse to buy another one...
