The PGCA site did a hic-up while I was doing the above post and I didn't get in that the J.G. in the oval is the mark of Jim Geary the foreman of the barrel shop when your gun was made.

Thanks to everyone for the additional info regarding my Parker. I think it's cool to own a "piece" of history...

Congratulations on your "new" Parker.

As a former Virginian, just curious where you are in the Old Dominion. We have members there you may want to reach out to.

I live in Williamsburg. That would be great to meet some new shooting buddies... appreciate it!

Jeff, it is indeed a small world. Williamsburg is my home town. I know there are members near Orange and in Northern VA, and pretty sure in the Hampton Roads area, too. Hopefully they’ll see this and contact you.

We have order book records. Without giving out too many details the gun was a 12g 30" Trojan and shipped to Washington State.

I finally got out to a range with some buddies and shot some sporting clays. The gun felt and worked great! I'm very happy with my new Parker... I smashed a lot of clays.
